Flank Steak #tacos
@traderjoes hard taco shells
Flank steak (I usually buy from Trader Joe’s, but used the steak from @rabbisdaughter this time and it was amazing)
Steak marinade ingredients:
2/3 cup Orange juice, 1/3 cup Soy sauce Lime juice Garlic Salt
If working with a thicker cut of flank steak, I recommend butterflying so that it cooks faster.
Start by marinating the steak for 2-3 hours before cooking. In the meantime, chop all your veggies and have it prepared. I like to warm up the tacos in the oven prior to eating, makes everything taste better.
Once you’re ready to start cooking the steak, heat up a medium sized pan with 2 tablespoons of oil (i used grape seed oil this time). Once hot, take the steak out of the container (make sure not to add the marinade juice to the pan because it can burn easily) and cook on each side for 5-6 minutes, or until you’ve reached the desired level of cooking. Once cooked, let it sit for about 5-10 minutes so that all the juices absorb.
Chop the steak and enjoy!
